Independent. Transparent. Re-read at least every 45 days.
BestCryptoReferrals exists for a single reason: most traders overpay on fees because comparing referral programs is confusing, and the discounts hidden behind fine print add up to real money. We do that comparison work — at least every 45 days, on every major exchange, with each change logged below — so you don't have to.
What we check, and what we quote
Three things are checked by us; two are quoted. Checked: every fee rate on the site is read from the exchange's own fee schedule and links to the page it was copied from; the date at the foot of every page is the last time that read was done, and the build refuses to publish once it is more than 45 days old. Quoted: the referral code and link are the ones issued to us by each exchange's programme, and the welcome-bonus ladders and rebate percentages are stated as the exchange publishes them — they change more often than fee tables, so confirm them on the exchange before funding. When an exchange ends a referral programme, the listing is removed rather than left to go stale.
How we make money
When you register through one of our links, the exchange pays us a commission as part of its referral program. This does not change the price you pay or the discount you receive — your discount comes from the exchange, ours comes from the exchange separately. We don't accept paid placement: an exchange cannot pay to rank higher in our comparison table.
What we don't do
- We never ask for your account credentials, API keys or KYC information.
- We don't operate any "rebate aggregator" tools — every link goes directly to the official exchange.
- We don't store user-tracking cookies beyond what's strictly required to render the page.
- No exchange has ever paid us to write a page, and none of the copy here has been supplied or approved by one.
Corrections log
Each time we re-read something against an exchange's own pages — fee schedules, asset counts, account rules — the outcome goes here, including the runs that turned up nothing. A wrong number on this site gets fixed in the tables and noted below, in that order.
- — Put the September 2023 HTX hack back. Trimming the November entry earlier today took it out with it, which quietly shortened an exchange’s security record in that exchange’s favour; it is restored with its own citation. Also swept the rebate ceilings: OKX and Weex now read as ceilings on the homepage, the guide and the FAQ, not just on their own pages.
- — Went back over every security record with its cited article open. Several said more than the source does and were cut back: OKX lost a June 2024 incident that is not in the piece we cite and a reimbursement that was promised rather than completed; XT.com lost a withdrawal halt and a “company funds” line CoinDesk never printed; Gate.io lost an unsourced denial of 2024 rumours; Bitget’s compensation is offered, not paid; and HTX no longer asserts the bridge losses were excluded from its pledge, only that we have found nothing extending it. MEXC’s “clawed-back profits” is now “forfeited balances”. Earlier the same day the sources themselves changed: claims that favour an exchange now lead with an outside outlet rather than its own press release, BingX’s loss narrowed to the ~$43m on the record, and Bybit’s 72-hour recovery is attributed to borrowing and buying rather than reserves already held.
- — Counted every exchange's listed assets again, this time off each one's own public instruments endpoint rather than its marketing copy. All eleven numbers were wrong and several were not close: Binance 350 → 494, OKX 320 → 408, Bybit 280 → 396, Gate.io 2,500 → 2,066, MEXC 1,800 → 1,595, HTX 700 → 592, Bitget 600 → 2,171, BingX 700 → 2,225, XT.com 800 → 996, BTSE 200 → 295. Weex's endpoint returned an error, so its count still dates from and its page says so. Every “widest catalog” line on the site was rewritten off the new figures — MEXC was never the widest, BingX is, and BingX's thin-catalog complaint became a strength. Bybit’s KYC field went from “Optional/Tiered” to “Required”. Every exchange also gained a security record covering the trailing 36 months with a source attached; five of the eleven had an incident this site had never mentioned.
- — Ten of the eleven entry-tier schedules re-read; the Weex rate table would not load, so its figures still date from and its page carries a dated caveat instead of a guess. Three figures moved: Gate.io spot taker 0.20% → 0.10%, HTX futures taker 0.04% → 0.06%, XT.com futures maker 0.04% → 0.02%. Three fee-page links had gone dead (Bitget, HTX, BingX) and now point at the pages we actually read.
- — Stripped every trader-count and savings figure that had no source behind it. The homepage strip now shows only numbers derived from the fee table.
- — First verification pass across the eleven exchanges.
Welcome-bonus ladders and rebate percentages are quoted as each exchange publishes them and sit outside the fee re-read; they shift more often than fee tables, so confirm them on the exchange before you fund an account.
